Get the Feministmug. Not to be mistaken for "misandrist" (someone who hates men), a feminist is a person who wants to achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the genders. For centuries women have lived without basic rights. It was feminists who got women the right to vote, the right to divorce, the right to have an abortion, everything that women are able to do today. Nonetheless, there are still disadvantages, such as the wage gap, abortion laws, sexual abuse/consent laws, etc. Misogyny still exists. Thus, feminism is still needed, not as an effort to "banish men" or whatever, but to simply get HUMAN RIGHTS and be treated as HUMAN. Some feminists believe in the intersectionality theory/intersectional feminism, which is a branch of feminism that is all inclusive and identifies other kinds of discrimination that overlap with sexism. Essentially, feminists fight for minorities - and that includes male minorities (POC, LGBT, etc.). Feminists empower women of all races, religions, sexualities, etc. by promoting body positivity, shutting down slut-shaming, shutting down misogynistic views, embracing sexuality, and so much more. Feminists also fight against toxic masculinity. Feminists literally just want everyone to be happy, have equal opportunities, and break down barriers and toxic norms.

Get the Feministmug. Any person (regardless of gender) who believes that men and women should be equal. A lot of the time they are confused with "men haters" because since today's society is male ruled, feminists are working to improve women's rights so they are equal to the rights men have. This does NOT mean they hate men, they just want equality of the sexes.

Get the Feministmug. All these definitions are trash I’m sorry. But a feminist is someone who is someone who believes in equal rights for women and men. Sure we have equal rights an all but some people need to get that in their heads. Saying that men are better then women and not expecting a women to get mad or disagree is just a bad thought on your part. Sure men can do things that women can’t, but you know women can do things that men can’t do to. Thank you very much.

Feminists are often seen by society as people who feel sorry for themselves, and who hate all men and think everything is a question of misogyny. This is not true. And a woman who hate men and think they are all evil, is not a feminist but a sexist. The concept of feminism is originally that men and women are equal, but many women claim to be feminists when they are in fact ruining feminism by telling society feminists hate men.
