(Fire) Buff

n. A term used largely by FDNY members to describe fire enthusiasts. The word "buff" could also encompass enthusiasts in the professions of police, EMS, military, etc. The term is mostly used disparagingly when FDNY members are referring to civilians, volunteer firefighters and paid firefighters from other cities -the reason being is that these individuals would be the only ones to approach a firehouse/firefighters they are not familiar with & attempt to talk shop. The term is also used internally by the FDNY to refer to certain "buffy" members -but isn't used in the same condescending context as when referring to any of the aforementioned. "Buffs" are widely-known to wear fire department t-shirts, listen to scanners, search fire-related topics on the internet, often own pick-up trucks (which are almost aways equipped with "volly lights" and covered with FD decals) & are very familiar with FDNY units, procedures, jargon, etc. The word "Buff" derived from the buff colored coats worn by the NYC volunteer fire department prior to the organizing of the FDNY.

Buffalo Chocolate

When one consumes too many chicken wings and develops a case of explosive diarrhea. This often requires a change of pants and underwear as the afflicted cannot make it to the bathroom quick enough.

Edwards friend Jacob set him up on a blind date with Ashley. Ashley was hot, and apparently a bit of a whore. Edward knew he was getting lucky tonight. The evening went well, Edward gobbled down about two dozen Buffalo wings. Drank a little, chatted with Ashley. They couple danced a bit in the bar, he was sure he was getting lucky tonight. Then.... his stomach started aching.

"I have a feeling I am about to make some Buffalo Chocolate", Edward said to his date.

Then it happened, Edwards bowels exploded all over the inside of his pants. Liquid shit leaked out of his pant legs and on to the floor.

"Gross!" Ashley said.
Edward, did not get laid that night.

buffet momentum

The lack of self-restraint one experiences after having started eating at a buffet. This phenomenon causes a person to consume above and beyond what comprises a regularly sized meal. This feeling usually occurs in the first fifteen minutes of the buffet and is further perpetuated by:

a) remembering something delicious that you saw earlier and didn't have room on your plate for

b) wanting more of something you just tried

c) the desire to make the price you paid worthwhile

d) the need to illustrate to your friends that your stomach is indeed a bottomless pit.

"Wow, I just consumed three plates of food. Maybe we should wait a while before hitting up the dessert table."

"I disagree. In about 10 minutes my stomach is going to realize that it's full, so I think I'll just make use of the buffet momentum that I've developed and get dessert right now."

A song in a non English language that has been given subtitles based on what the foreign words SOUND like, not the defenition is said to have been Buffalaxed. This word comes from a GENIUS on YouTube whose username is Buffalax. He (or she) created the concept of Buffalaxing and is REALLY good at it.
