When you are on the bus and get stopped at a red light, and another bus pulls up in the lane next to you. The driver is a road comrade, and your driver will salute them in respect, and if you are lucky, will start speaking fluent Russian. Witnessing the interaction between a bus driver and a road comrade is said to bring about joyous and happy times to come.
As the bus stopped at the pedestrian crossing, my bus driver saluted a pulled up road comrade with a few Russian phrases before continuing on his way.

Get the Road ridersmug. A common thing people get while they are on a road trip. Usually followed by nausea, or the desire to use the bathroom. When children experience this, it is common for them to say: "are we THERE yet?!!!" Parents usually get annoyed with this after a while, and start getting stressed, which leads to some tension in the car. Which can lead to bumpy driving, which leads to nausea. Sometimes, people write Urban Dictionary definitions of this whilst they have Road trip boredom.

Get the Road trip boredommug. An offshore province of New England dat had previously been separated from da mainland country and thus only reachable by boat or plane, but now has a vehicle-compatible bridge out to it.
Prince Edward Island is a good example of a "road island" in dat it used to be accessed mostly by car-ferries, but a bridge connecting it to Nova Scotia was eventually constructed.
