First recorded case of skankosis happened along the Alaska highway in July of 2024 with four individuals being affected with the disease. Studies have yet to find whether this is a disease of the mind, a bacterial infection or a virus of some kind. The case seems an isolated phenomenon with the region of infection to be contained within the Alaskan highway. No known cures have been found yet.
