The consumption of large amounts of junk food in an attempt to relieve symptoms of major depression, such as; excessive crying, numbness, fatigue, isolation, anxiety.

Is usually a long term habit and is used as a coping mechanism, similar to binge eating.

Guy 1: Bro you eat so much junk food!!
Guy 2: Dude it's not my fault, *sighs* I've got depression munchies.

The act of snacking on a random assortment of goodies while not being high. Microwavable foods and multiple bowls of variety cereals are ideal.

The opposite of the munchies; When you have no appetite because you haven't got high today. Sucks a lot more when you smoke a lot and suddenly quit smoking or slow down.

Unfortunately there are some people you can't use this as an excuse in front of.
