ice lolly

British term for a frozen confection on a stick, equivalent to the American term "popsicle." In the plural sense, the term "lolly ices" may be used, e.g., "one ice lolly," or "an entire selection of lolly ices."

It was a hot day in Merseyside, and Bill stopped by the ASDA to buy a box of lolly ices, but they were sold out; a clerk told him there wasn't an ice lolly to be had all the way to Blackpool.

During the release of GTAIV, the limited edition included a lock box. This box has caused many "lols" to occour.

Matt: Hey Mike, how will you protect your injured toe from being stepped on?

Mike: I might have to put it in the limited edtion GTAIV lock box. See GTAIV has cool stuff that works, unlike Halo 3 where I couldn't even wear that damn helmet.

Matt: Lockbox is cool...loxbox...lolbox.

Blake: Halo 3 > GTAIV. That damn box can't even fit the Master Chief helmet in it.

Mike: Shut up Blake, no one likes you.

British. Name for someone who is a native of Leigh, Lancashire.

A Wigginer (Wigan) calls a Leyther (from Leigh) a LobbyGobbler as they (Wigganers) primarily eat pies, and Leythers eat (gobble) what we called Lobby (meat & potatoe stew).

There are many pie shops in Wigan. They eats pies on a barmcake!
