Junior Year

The most brutal year of high school due to colleges looking at this year in specific. Filled with endless school work, tests, exams (ACT, SAT, etc.), and stressful homework that you have to do when you're trying to rest your butt off after a long boring day. Hinders you from trying to have fun, not to mention, the junkload of homework would lower sleep time, making you deprived.

Oh god, junior year is gonna be a long one.
Fun fact: I'm currently a junior at the time of writing this (Class of 2027)

Neologism proposing the current (or future) era of American political violence as being comparable to the Italian “Years of Lead”. Modified to make reference to the side effects of lead exposure.

“Did you hear what happened today?”

“Yeah, I think we’re in the Years of Lead Paint now”

28 Years Later

A movie that just came out this year. It follows the other previous movies, which are “28 days later” and “28 weeks later”. In this movie, we are introduced to a boy named Spike, who lived his whole life in a quarantined camp in Scotland. He lives with his father and sick mother. One day, after Spike catches his dad doing something wrong, he decides to take his sick mother to see the mysterious Dr. Kelson. In the end, Kelson euthanizes Spike’s mom, they find a baby and bring it back to the camp, and Spike ventures off to find his own adventure.

I like 28 Years Later. I thought it would be more action packed than the other movies, but it’s still ok.

The phase where you're expected to behave like an adult but still paradoxically treated like a small child. This phase mainly happens in middle school or high school, but can nonetheless still occur when you can’t afford to move out of your parents' house right after graduating from high school.

During my teenage years, I had to juggle my parents' expectations of maturity with their constant reminders to clean my room—talk about a confusing time!

Coming from the prefix "trans-" (meaning "beyond") and "formative years", this slang term refers to the years after your formative years has ended. For example, if you were born in 1974 and thus grew up in the 1980's, your first memory during transformative years was probably that one moment in high school on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991.

If you were born in 1974, your first impactful memory during those transformative years might just be that unforgettable moment in high school on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991.
