Get the posermug. I have a good definiton for poser. My cousin. She is very cool, but is a pretty big poser. SHe recently started liking rock. Her favorite bands are Green Day, Panic! at the Disco, AFI, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance...and thats pretty much it. I asked her if she knew "Death Cab for Cutie" "Blink 182" and even the old songs of Green Day...and she had NO IDEA. SHe painted her nails black, borrows her sisters black shirts(which says 'baby phat' on them, but as long as they are black, she doesnt care), and started to hate pink. Well, I like rock and metal, but I dont dress all in black. Her myspace is sooo emo and she tries to hit on emo kids. Her sisters call her goth, but she denies it. WHAT GIVES?! I mean, she doesnt even know what Oldies are!!!! She has no idea who Korn or Slipknot is. She shoudl just give up.

Somebody that is one person around some poeple and someone completely different around other people.
Someone that can fit into more than one clique or subculture.

Get the posermug. One who changes their personailty, attitude, and looks based on an influence. The person can also be considered fake. If a sport is involved, a poser may pretend to be good at it. If a clique is involved, the poser may adapt the steriotype style of the clique. Posers are widely disliked throughout... everywhere.

NOTE: just because u wear black does not automaticly make u a goth poser!!!!! so stop being the person who goes around judging people just because of there personality >_>. the word poser gets misused now a days. if someone comes in and wears a mcr band shirt and never herd of the band. thats a poser! but if a real person comes in with an mcr shirt and gets callled a poser than people are just being hipcritcal bitches.
