A book written, in six parts, by Steven King, about life on a prison bloc and the lives of some of the inmates, such as Delacroix and John Coffee. Was also made into a movie. The title comes from the hallway inmates walk down before they are to be executed by electric chair.

When John Coffee walked to the chair, no one had the balls to cry "Dead man walkin' on the green mile!"

Track event for the nutjobs. Punishment for mid-distance runners as well. Usually involves running eight laps around an outdoor track and 16+ on indoor facilities.

"Chris, since you were such a smartass last week, I'm running you in the 2 mile."
"But Mug...I run the 800."
"Okay?"
"My best time is barely under 13:00, why would you do such a thing?"
"Oh stop your bitchin, it'll be fun."

Mile Ended

Montreal district called the Mile End where everyone knows each other. Getting mile ended includes getting an iced coffee at Olympico, pool hopping, drinking in the park, getting a bagel, sitting on a balcony drinking, buying a second hand book, getting fresh fruit at the Fruitery, stoping at Navarino while running into everyone you know.

Ah man all I want to do is get mile ended today and sit on my balcony.
