An American of non-costal origin who is more left leaning, maybe even socialist, but still loosely grounded in what are considered to be “Midwestern values”.

Person 1: “You see Tom the other day? Dude was driving his pickup around Main Street with a Bernie Sanders sticker on his bumper and an AR-15 mounted on his rear view ! I’m so confused”

P2: “Yeah, ever since he got back from college he’s been a bit of a Corn Commie”

An individual, often a Western university student, who expresses sympathies towards communist ideologies, regimes, and leaders, and dismisses the atrocities they committed under such dictatorships. This term connotes an endorsement of violent revolutionary tactics, totalitarian governance, social oppression, and censorship, including its policies associated with historical communist countries. It also implies a tendency to deflect responsibility for these beliefs onto external political regimes when challenged and by becoming hostile, delusional, and aggressive.

This new student is one of those college commie types who defended these regimes and atrocities by blaming the people and not the leaders.

Commie Poker

A form of poker tournament made of several short games. At the end of each game, chips are converted to points and added to the player's tally. At the start of each new game, chips are redistributed equally among the players (wealth redistribution). At the end of the tournament, the player with the most points is the winner.

I'm playing in the Commie Poker Tournament at the rec center Saturday.
