A shark, or sharking is to scout or hunt for “fine shit”(pretty women/good looking men), talk to multiple people, or date multiple people at one time. A shark is someone who most likely is not in a real or committed relationship, so they choose to be a “player”.

This definition originated from the popular platform “TikTok” and has risen to be new slang in the year 2025.
