Right but if he ASKED and you had the means to give to him.... Wouldn't you just give it to him? I mean, it's the difference between murder and manslaughter. And you can say "Well, manslaughter is still a crime." But... Sometimes you're guilt is peripheral and if it's too peripheral then you don't even try to stop it.
