bughorn

The English horn (cor anglais), a member of the oboe family and pitched lower than the oboe. Next in lower pitch is the heckelphone, then bassoon, then contrabassoon. The English horn sounds "sneaky" to some people and might suggest crawling insects. I personally LOVE the sound of the English horn and think it has one of the most haunting sounds of any orchestral instrument.

butcon

A computer user interface control that appears to be a standard button, but is actually does unexpected things when clicked. From "button that cons", not the contraction of "button control". The con comes from altering the expected behaviour of a button - from DOING something, to ASKING something.

A "line width" butcon in a paint program is a UI button that opens a drop-down selector for various line widths. Programmer should have used a specific drop-down UI control instead to provide visual hints to the user that clicking the UI control will open a drop-down.

Bumholed is a verb, specifically the past tense of the verb bumhole.

Chris: How are things going with you and that post office worker?
Mike: Things are great! She came over last night, delivered a package that had been delivered to the post office, exclaimed it was shoes and then asked me what I wanted to do tonight.
