Whacktivist

Activists who do more harm their cause than help it by attacking the public instead of the organizations responsible for what they are protesting against.

Just Stop Oil is a whacktivist group that attacks paintings in museums and disrupts traffic instead of going directly to the facilities owned by the oil industries and organizing large noticeable protests there.

Whacktivist

One who backs and/or petitions a law or idea that seems crazy, ignorant, dumb, or socially unfitting or unacceptable for the times (these words/situations often defines the term "whack" or 'whack-o").

That chump must be a whacktivist for supporting the anti-same sex marriage bill - isn't love universal?
