technowazzle

A noun that describes items of technology (especially as relates to software, computers and computer programs) that is so poorly understood by the speaker that they lack even the most rudimentary terms or frame of reference required for even the simplest description. Similar to the word: "thingamajig".
Example 1:

- You know the stuff on Bob's website that moves around?

- What the f*ck are you talking about, is it flash, java, php?

- Dunno, anyway, I want some of that technowazzle on my site.

Example 2:

Tom: "Anyway, you should check out Dave's new software program, it figures out how to get beautiful women to come knocking on your door in minutes."

Albert: "How does it work, does it use APIs? Or does it function off of a reverse flux capacitator?"

Tom: "Not sure, it uses some technowazzle that brings hot girls to your door, what else do you need to know you boofhead?"

technotarian

Technological Libertarian i.e. someone who believes that technological innovation and the Internet are best governed by free market principles. This use of the term is believed to be coined by the LAUNCH Conference blog team in a post on BitCoins (L019: Bitcoin P2P Currency: The Most Dangerous Project We've Ever Seen, Posted Sunday, May 15, 2011)

From the LAUNCH blog:
We made this term up to describe the “good people” of the internet who believe in the fundamental rights of individuals to be free, have free speech, fight hypocrisy and stand behind logic, technology and science over religion, political structure and tradition. These are the people who build and support things like Wikileaks, Anonymous, Linux and Wikipedia. They think that people can, and should, govern themselves. They are against external forms of control such as DRM, laws that are bought and sold by lobbyists, and religions like Scientology. They include splinter groups that enforce these ideals in the form of hacktivism, such as the takedown of the Sony Playstation Network after Sony tried to prosecute a hacker for unlocking its console.
You'd think that Bob would be in favor of Net Neutrality to help keep ISPs from creating different classes of Internet users, but he's a Technotarian so he doesn't believe that the government has a right to regulate ISPs in the first place.

Technocratic ascensionism

"Technocratic Ascensionism" is an idea that a person named "Kieran" made, so he can actually define his plan to assist upcoming generations with the gift of knowledge and wisdom.

Many may confuse this for "Intellectual Ascensionism" which Kieran describes as "A dumpster fire on wheels"

The idea for this plan came from his interesting time growing up, He believes that people at a young age lack a drive to improve themselves with wisdom and knowledge, The actions for this form of "Ascension" include

1. Assisting the receiver of this "Ascension" with problems they may be experiencing by giving them an opinion from a different prospective and/or giving them direct requests for what to do based on previous experiences.
2. The receiver of this "Ascension" at one point needs to go against some of knowledge given to them.
3. And finally the receiver of this "Ascension" needs to realize the use of this knowledge can benefit them immensely. (From part 2) and that they should be more open to receive any form of knowledge and/or wisdom.

The most desired outcome if for this is for the to continue the cycle by causing the receiver to gain desire to gain both, knowledge and wisdom to help others in the way they were helped.
Kieran: You should avoid doing that.
Brad: Why?
Kieran: Because it caused something really bad to happen for me.

*Brad proceeds to go against Kieran's advice and screws up spectacularly*

Kieran: told ya something bad would happen, You have just experienced Technocratic ascensionism from it's source.
Brad: Fine, I'll listen now.
