Being random is saying things out of the blue usually completely out of any context to what any conversation you were having was about. Those who are random are referred to as having randomnimity.

When your talking to others and all of a sudden you shout out some random word usually a danger Zone body part. but it can also be just words that don't relate to the convo at all such as: bananas, monkeys, and cod fish!
