Competition psychosis

An altered state experienced by participants and/or fans of a sporting event which render them incapable or rational thought. It can occur before, during, and after the event. Face painting and conspiracy theories are all examples of people experiencing competition psychosis.

Dude 1: Can't believe how those refs were cheating my boys.

Dude 2: They lost by 40.

Dude 1: The refs hated us.

Dude 2: You got a bad case of competition psychosis if you believe the refs were the reason for that ass kicking.

psychosociopath

Aggressive, amoral behavior without empathy or remorse. Highly intelligent, easily manipulates others and lacks guilt, even when children are involved. High charisma and typically liked by people at first. Psychosociopaths typically care only about themselves and blame others for things that are their own fault. They lie constantly and feel rules do not pertain to them. They do not learn from being caught in a lie and do not learn from punishment. They spend the majority of their time networking to benefit themselves and have no allegiance to anyone.

She is so irritating. She is acting like a psychosociopath!

The act of staying home and listening to Slipknot during a pandemic.

Man, I tell ya...all this ‘Rona out here and to make matters worse the neighbor on the other side of us has been wearing a freaky looking mask and head banging/screaming about wanting to stamp you out while he grills sausage and burgers.

Oh that’s just ol’ Douglas, he’s just doing his Patriotic duty and Psychosocial distancing.

When a person who frequently uses a Bluetooth device begins to continuously hallucinate that they are on the phone.

My partner wound up being treated for his Bluetooth psychosis which had its origins in his inflated sense of self-importance.

NOT the rabid-foaming-at-the-mouth crazy-out-to-kill-you image that movies seem bent on popularizing...

A real state of being where a person's perception of reality is severely interrupted. Often triggered by sad or painful things happening to said person, which induces a break from reality, and as more people turn their backs on what is seen as irrational, delusional behavior, the pain deepens. The psychosis gets stronger and harder to bear. Can result in suicide.

Those with psychosis are good, decent people bearing a lot of pain inside, and they could use and appreciate all the support, love, and compassion they can get. Even one stable, healthy relationship in their lives can potentially help them regain and maintain their strength, and they deserve it.

Lily believed that her boyfriend sleeping with another girl was caused because she didn't spin the doorknob correctly on the way out today, and she was thinking of him when she was opening the door. She tried to commit suicide afterward because she thought it would make everything better, especially if the attempt failed... I'm scared for her. I think she suffers from psychosis.
