A exculsive upper class getaway on Long Island. A town full of black mercedes, exotic sportscars, and no ethnic diversity. Plainview also known as "Plainjew" is host to homes starting at 3/4 of a million dollers. Plainview contains a "ghetto" or also named as the "grit" where it is believed that the majority of cathloics, or poor the poor jews live. Although, it is NO ghetto with homes starting at 600k +. Plainview is considered "JAP" central on the East Coast. Unless you are a doctor/ lawyer/ or make more then 200k a year dont even look at a home there. Teens are vicious and unless you're one of them you won't survive past a short conversation. The town that doesn't look like much, but costs a lot.

Get the Plainview mug.It's a small town on North Shore of Long Island. If you knew your geography, it's in New York. Specifically east of NYC. It's a really nice area to live in. But if you're just visiting, there really isn't anything special to it; Just a regular town. You'd be surprised how many famous people today, grew up here in the past. Also, it's on the North Shore - the NICER part of Long Island. Schools are among the best on the Island, so that's another thing to look forward to. Yeah, there's inconsiderate people, but it's like that everywhere, and there's no way you can change that. Just deal with it because you're no wizard who can change people, no matter how much you wish to be. Also, you've probably heard this place is domninant Jews. I can answer that question with a simple "yes". That's Long Island for ya. There's also other religions, so if you're not Jewish, you're not left out. I have no idea, though, if this is considered a "rich" area. I only know our taxes are amonst the highest in America. To make it all clear in a short version, think of it as a town that you don't think is all too great, but better than you really think it is.

Here is some lessons I have learned.
Do yourself a favor and take at least honors and AP classes. These will prepare you well for college and also look good on your resume. Don't get discouraged in one of these upper level classes if you studied for hours and the guy next to yu studied ten minutes that morning of the test and he still ended up scoring higher than you. Many geniuses walk these halls and complaining and wanting to be as smart as them will only make your work harder, it's up to YOU to succeed here.
And at last a final word
A lot of people say that these will be the best four years of your life, and indeed they could. But it is ultimately up to you to make whatever time you spend here enjoyable. My time these four years was extremely average. Never really had many friends or went out, but never go bullied or anything either. Four years of my life were basically spent only at my own home or at school. this routine has caused my soul to go numb. Do not do the same thing I did. Please go out with your friends more and enjoy these four years.
I can't believe I am at this point in my life, four years ago I used to be a freshman like you too. I understand this lamenting of time is very overly used, but it is that way for a reason unfortunately.
