Get the Annoying like a Petru mug.An act of someone suddenly killed in broad daylight and in full public view by government's officials/assassins, usually because he/she has been confirmed to do one or more criminal acts but found not guilty in the court or gets away with it. The criminal act can range from a serious one (like mass murder) to a petty one (like bread theft).
The word "petrused" comes from Indonesian word "petrus". It stands for "penembak misterius", that means "mysterious shooter". Petrused basically a public assassination by a government of that country to fix a failed or corrupted justice system using a brute force method.
Note:
Not to confuse petrused with assassination attempts to erase political rivals. Petrused, although most of the times is an overkill and unnecessary act, it's purpose is to punish a legit criminals.
