newspeak liberal

A socialist (or more generally, a person that loves government taxing "the rich" and helping the poor) that doesn't want to identify as such. He or she gets inspiration from George Orwell' 1984 by torturing the language and using a word meaning "free" to hide their authoritarian intents.

In the U.S., self-identified liberals are really newspeak liberals as they favor government intervention and collective rights. In Europe, liberals are truer to their origins, i.e. in favor of limited government and individual rights - they would be called libertarian in the U.S.

A term that combines two contradicting words, not to convey meaning but to undermine its true meaning, from the novel 1984.

Feminazi is an example of Newspeak.

Alternative uses, alterations or additions to normal vocabulary.

I.e. "slang" "urban dictionary definition"

In direct contrast to the Orwellian definition of the concept.

The Gen Z newspeak for having "game" is "Rizz".

Someone who censors words to please algorithms, or, a user of Algospeak or Newspeak.

Guy: I can't believe this guy graped all those children! What a PDF! He should unalive himself NOW!!!
Other guy: You can say rape and pedophile here, newspeaker.
