Melanin

Share definition
Melanin: The pigment that gives human skin, hair, and eyes their color. Dark-skinned people have more melanin in their skin than light-skinned people have. Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes. It provides some protection again skin damage from the sun, and the melanocytes increase their production of melanin in response to sun exposure. Freckles, which occur in people of all races, are small, concentrated areas of increased melanin production.

Melanin Has become a proud statement in the back community as we are now more than ever embracing our culture , colour and hair .

Melaninny

Share definition
Melaninny, (plural: melaninnies) - A combination of melanin and ninny (a foolish and weak person) who cares more about melanin levels of the person being discussed for pushing a race-based agenda of their own, possibly for their own gains or for a group of fellow, like-minded, melaninnies who are looking to capitalise from fuelling racial outrage, either socially, politically or financially but not exclusively so.

Synonym: Race-Baiter

Created due to a callout for a better word that fits the definition of a race-baiter but is not looking to just create an argument but for furthering a political, social or financial agenda.
We knew he was a melaninny when he began to push a race-based agenda where it did not apply to the case.

melanin offset

Share definition
When movie directors cast a person of color in their films to avoid criticisms of being racist. It doesn't really work and follows along the same logic as a carbon offset, "I'm doing something bad, so I'll buy my way out of it so that I can continue to have the moral high-ground--or at least not be criticized as having a racist movie."
Samuel L. Jackson is in the new Star Wars movies, so they couldn't be racist. He's one of Lucas's melanin offsets. Mace Windu is a melanin offset for Jar-Jar Binks.
