To try to act like you were doing something else after being left hanging on a high five, fist bump, etc.

Comes from recent NBA basketball game where Phil Jackson, LA Lakers head coach, attempted to fist bump Kobe Bryant but was left hanging, and then tried to play it cool.

Mark: O man, I saw you try to fist bump Dr. Smith, too bad he left you hanging.

Jake: Shit. Do you think Ashley saw it?

Mark: No, you Phil Jacksoned pretty fast, I doubt anyone else saw it but me.

Jackness

Heard most frequently in US Navy boot camp. Also used by those having just recently completed the aforementioned boot camp.

I. State of being "jacked" or "jacked-up". A word used to describe something that has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

II. A substitute term to describe something as "fucked-up", malfunctioning, or of extremely poor quality.
