Infomercial Fail

To fail amazingly badly at a basic or simple task. Infomercials use this kind of exaggerated, highly unlikely failure to demonstrate the nonexistent or dubious "problem" the product in question supposedly solves (i.e. trying to crack an egg into a bowl and instead splattering egg and crushed shell pieces all over everything within three feet, hammering a nail into drywall and sending the hammer right through the wall, eating a sandwich and having its entire contents fall directly into your lap, etc.).

Just full-on infomercial failed at cracking an egg. Twice.

A bot that serves as a common database of information (often noteworthy URLs) for users on a chat system. Infobots often have a simple chatbot interface, responding to key-phrases, as well as to direct queries. Its sole purpose is to intact with users for their enjoyment.

info junkie

Mostly used as an Internet term. A descriptive used to define someone who is always looking to learn new information. The junkie part comes in when they seem to be 'addicted' to any new information. Frequents news sites, technology journals, reads many books, and seems to understand all this. Chosen topics of interest can be varied. Usually a first point of contact when your computer breaks or you're thinking of signing up to make money online for only a $500 deposit.
