v. To repeatedly attempt to use a damaged or malfunctioning device or machine, hoping it will eventually work as intended. This is common when the owner or caretaker of the device or machine is too lazy, proud, stubborn, stupid or cheap to repair or replace or have repaired or replaced the item.
