Person A: We finally have a prime minister in Ethiopia who isn’t a tribalist or an Amhara chauvinist.

Person B: Doesn’t matter. There can never be such person in existence.

Person A: You need to get outta here with all that Ethiopessimism!

Ethnophobia

The fear that leads to the hatred of another human being based solely on differences perceived by their exterior appearance; including, but not limited to skin color, hair color, eye shape, facial structure, religious background or gender identity.

Members of the KKK are ethnophobes. They have Ethnophobia that has been encouraged through generations of ignorance and the spread of misinformation.

Ethnopornography

The practice of fetishizing other, usually non-Western cultures for purposes of conscious or unconscious valorization of one's own worldliness and/or openness to cultural difference. May include the open display of jewelry, clothing and other cultural symbols completely incongruous with one's own identity.

Ethnopornography is usually practiced by white, middle-class, highly educated liberals who claim attraction to the values, beliefs and practices of those whose symbols they adopt because they are somehow more authentic, spiritually complex, and/or true to human nature than their own.

A contemporary form of post-colonial oppression.
