When a blond swiss guy unnecessarily corrects or completes what someone is saying in a pompous, presumptuous and sometimes even slightly insolent manner

Stop explaining how the Federal Assembly works, what you are saying isn't even entirely correct.

Someone has to tell that swiss blond guy to stop correcting people eventhough they didn't ask for it. It's dansplaining and it is annoying everyone!

To give overly complicated answers to questions by using a lot of technical terms in an effort to belittle others and make yourself sound intelligent. Often coupled with constant interruptions and a condescending tone.

I just got ear bashed for half an hour of dansplaining when I asked how to tune the telly.

Dadsplaining

Any sentence spoken by a dad to persons younger than himself that begins with, "When I was your age," or, "I'll tell you why that is," or, "If you were smart, here's what you'd do..."

My dad says that when he was my age, phones had cords on them and there was a thing called "long distance." He's been Dadsplaining the old days at me all morning.

When a father or dad starts a sentence with, "I think you'll find"........then proceeds to impress his audience with his array of knowledge, facts and information to ensure that he thinks he is smarter than everyone in the room and that you are only as smart as dog shit.

I think you'll find that dadsplaining means I'm full of shit and I'm just trying to sound smart

dadsplaining

When, upon confirming his target does in fact know how to do something, a dad explains it anyways.

Dad: Hey son, I think it would be good to know how to change a tire in case of emergency.

Son: I actually know how to do that. I popped a tire last year and luckily had a spare. YouTube is super helpful.

Dad: So the first thing you're going to want to do is...

Son: Please stop dadsplaining this to me!

Dogsplaining

1) The different barks, tail wags and motions a dog uses to get the attention of their owner for food, to go to the bathroom, to go for a walk or to play.

2) The rhetorical questions people ask their dogs using baby talk as they care for them. Of course the dog can't answer, but the talk pleases their owners.

My golden retriever ran into my room with his leash, he was dogsplaining that he had to poop.
