deathmatch

When two individuals agree to a fight to the death. This is a mode of settling conflicts which is usually neglected in modern society. A deathmatch is always an unarmed fight, otherwise it would be called a duel.

deathmatch

A game mode featured in nearly every shooter (simulator or FPS) that allows you to blow the living crap out of your opponents. It was popularized by Doom and pretty much made it a requirement for every shooter in the market after. These days multiple modes of deathmatches (like Capture the Flag and Team games) exist.
Find a buddy, start a game, and beat the living snot out of him. Do it again in another way. Repeat until you have the most kills. That's the basics of DeathMatch.

Deathmatch

Deathmatch and Doom 2 are basically synonyms. Minus me spelling that S word horribly wrong.

Anyone who played Doom 2 probably deathmatched their neighbor until wee hours of the morning.

The favorite levels to deathmatch on Doom 2 were Levels 1 and 7. Everything else was too big.

Team Deathmatch Express

Made available during the first play-list update of Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2, Team Deathmatch Express is exactly the same as the original; the only difference of the two is the extreme time reduction made during the wait between rounds, hence the word "Express".
Hey dude, wanna play a few rounds of Team Deathmatch on Live?

Yeah, sure. But let's do express. Heard Team Deathmatch Express is a lot quicker. Less wait time in the lobby.
