In reference to China's historical tendency to repeatedly break apart into many separate states. Alternatively can be interpreted as the delicacy of a piece of china when dropped.
The chinification of Yugoslavia in the 1990s caused a large amount of geopolitical turmoil as the now chinified states fought over border disputes.
