Clitheroe

A small town in Lancashire. From a tourist perspective it seems a nice place to live, lots of flowers and even a ruined castle. However, having spent time there, there is a major drug problem amongst the countless youths who live there, including hard, class A drugs.
Clitheroe used to be a pretty town for the elderly to relax in.

clinchers disease

When you are about to take victory, but fail to win near the end, especially when victory should be assured. This term is usually used after repeated occurrences.
"Innumerable chances came Parrott's way in the remaining frames but the 1991 world champion was gripped by "clinchers disease" - the inability to clinch winning positions."

He went on to lose this match, even though he was winning by 5-1 in a first to 6 match. His opponent took the next 6 frames in a row to win 6-5.

Crystal Clutcher

Someone who believes in any of a number of "New Age" superstitious idiocy, such as: Catholic relics, speaking in tongues, dowsing, magnetic hills, UFOs, astrology, psychic power, homeopathy, therapeutic touch, some kinds of alternative medicine, spinal subluxations, channeling, mediums, and most particularly crystal power.
Every time I go to the sci-fi convention, there's always some stupid Crystal Clutcher trying to sell me a psychic reading.
