Citation Nazi

Someone who demands citation for everything. A Citation Nazi will require you to provide sources of reference for your own original inventions, widely accepted knowledge, and even for your self-reflections.
I wrote in my physics term paper that the Earth revolves around the Sun. My professor returned it asking to provide citations. He wanted my friend to cite a source for her statement "I believe aliens live among us". Such a Citation Nazi!

Citation Needed

To be said aloud when you think you're being fed bullshit.
Can also be used when using hearsay as fact.
Stacey: OMG did you hear that Shanna is pregnant?!?!
Amy: Citation Needed
Emma: You got pwned

Amy: I heard Paul and Josie are going out now.. Citation needed.

citation needed

The single most pointless addition to Urban Dictionary. On a site where people rant about how gay something is, why is "proof" required? Give me a fucking break. This isn't exactly a website you'd cite on an English essay, stop that shit.
now whenever someone writes about how shitty Lil Wayne is, they get a "citation needed", as if that actually needs more proof

Citation not needed

Its as good as a fact. Nobody should question this.
"Oh, Zachary is a definite cunt. Citation not needed."

citation oversight

Citation Oversight is weasel wording for admission of plagiarism. It is a cowardly way of admitting plagiarism by professors in top-ranked universities who have purloined ideas from others, but a claim of 'citation oversight' as opposed to an admission of plagiarism protects the professors from being fired from their jobs. Note that this protection mechanism is a privilege which is available only to White Professors and Black professors who plagiarize will be promptly fired from their jobs.
Q: Dude, did you hear about the plagiarism charge against Prof. McD of the ivy league university who lifted ideas from a newspaper? A: Yeah, he was a White guy and so the university officials declared it a case of 'citation oversight' and let him off.

citation-spelling nightmare

What a member of da "area's finest" --- especially one who never did too well in grammar-school --- finds himself faced with when trying to scribble out a summons-to-appear slip involving people/objects/locales with less-than-common names.
News flash --- Flustered MPs at da local naval-base encountered a major citation-spelling nightmare this evening when trying to write up a PECCARY who had committed da PECCADILLO of illegally entering da ARMORY and engaging in a PECKADILLO with an ARMADILLO dat it met there.
