This term is basically the Indian version of Schrodinger's douchebag. Bokachod or bokarchoda is used to define a person who makes sexist, racist, and classist statements and decide whether they were joking after making such statements depending on how people react to them. Due to a woman's hips being wider than a mans, in the olden days they were referred to as broads.
