Derived from the idiom bandwagon, the word describes a deplorable behavior on the internet where online news platforms ban users from posting comments on their Facebook page.

While these platforms purportedly support freedom of speech, they have also maintained their right to ban users from their technology platforms.

This claim is disingenuous as the technology platform underpins the delivery of online content and is therefore inseparable from the exercise of free speech, particularly in the social media space.

It now appears that more people are getting onto the banwagon.

Someone who starts supporting a sports team after they start winning championships, then makes over the top bragging statements to demean others.

She keeps posting on Facebook about being reigning champions, even though she just started being a fan after they won. She's such a bragwagoner!
