Never in the story is it stated that she doesn't need a man, rather, she bugs her friend to help her have a connection with a guy who likes her, who she rejected afterwards by throwing a bouquet at his face in front of many people.
She is the type of person who can be easily manipulated by other evil persons.
Her exposure stopped when the story has not even reached the climax, therefore, she's just a mere extra. An extra, but her fandom, mstans, became one of the most toxic fandom out there.
Mstans resorted to bullying, harassing, and mocking the author because the outcome they wanted was very different from what really happened.
