When a person (usually a snob) decorates his home with artwork and/or cultural artefacts, placed there for the sole purpose of impressing guests, he is said to live in a wankerium.

Bob dreaded going to dinner parties at Antoine's wankerium, knowing he'd be subjected to boring annecdotes all night.
eg. "Do you like that monkey sculpture in my living room? I picked it up in Istanbul..."
