Get the Shotakon mug.Dmitri Shostakovich, noun.
Dmitri Shostakovich is a Russian classical composer born on the 25th of September 1905 and died on the ninth of August in 1975, and was known for his intense and powerful symphonies, such as his Fifth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth.
His works reflect on the terror caused by the Soviet Union and various historical events such as the 1905 and 1918 Russian revolutions, which had led to him being later denounced in his musical career. This initiated depression and henceforth more powerful and hateful symphonies in his later life that would never be cured.
Dmitri Shostakovich would be known by his family for being obsessive in cleanliness and organization, synchronizing clocks and cleaning his apartment nearly daily.
His symphonies are now still known for being more hateful and full of power than the genres of rock, metal, and emo.
