Shredding Rug

An act of dancing where there are no rules. Anything goes. It usually entails getting low, making ridiculous faces, and falling flat on your face. Strobe lights contribute to the act of tearing as well as Britney Spears.

One can only say they shredded rug if they have the battle wounds to prove it such as swollen/tender feet, blisters, or bruises.

Boy1: Hey did you see Kristin dancing last night? She was intense.

Boy2: So wasn't dancing! She was absolutly shredding rug! Girl was intense!

Trying to ridicule a person or thing by repeating twice, but during the second repetition replace the first consonant(s) with s-h-m.
Often used by speakers or decendents of people who speak Yiddish and German. Since a lot of words an names start with shm.

Hugo: You know you really shouldn't do that any more. You might go to prison.
Chester: Prison Shmison.
Hugo: No seriously man. I think I saw a cop.
Chester: Cop shmop
Hugo: You know, that doesn't always work. You can't solve all your problems by word shmerding them.

When someone is totally nailing it, one could say they're "shredding it."

We'll be giving Charlie 5 out of 5 on his performance review, he's totally shredding it.

shredding

a style of guitar playing characterized by extremely fast flurries of notes and extremely distorted tones. rusty cooley's style epitomizes shred playing. some other famous shredders are steve vai, joe satriani, and yngwie malmsteen. most shredders use ibanez or jackson guitars becasue of their thin flat necks, tremelo systems, very high output pickups and agressive looks among other factors. though loved by some, shredding is often attacked for being "unmusical" or just for show. some techniques commonly employed by shredders are tremelo picking, sweep picking, pinch harmonics, extremely wide vibrato, tapping, two handed tapping, and a myriad of whammy bar tricks.

schmeaning

1. The act of being very sketchy towards other people.
2. The act of making people feel very uncomfortable because of your overbearing and stalker-like nature.
3. Trying to get a girl or guy that you have no business trying to hookup with but trying to anyway, making the person and everyone else around you very uncomfortable, yet very entertained as well.

That big guy was schmeaning on that girl so hard last night.
