A phrase popularised by Australian YouTuber frezned. To be said ominously after saying something that has or has not happened. It has an even more powerful effect if you ask/bribe some friends/passers-by to shake their heads and tut immediately after you have spoken.

I haven't eaten marshmallows and ketchup since... the incident.

No one has seen Jennie since... the incident.

I've been wearing odd socks since... the incident.

A phrase used to compare something, even when they aren't movie related.

Coined after Grantland writer Bill Simmons used it when reviewing the movie The Lone Survivor. Readers then made fun of him by using it in their email questions.

Ex: This is the best Patriots team since Saving Private Ryan.

That's the hottest girl since Saving Private Ryan.

Dude, you're the worst driver since Saving Private Ryan.

A phrase used to indicate ambiguous and eternal duration, usually for a problem. Equivalent to "since the beginning", "always", or "at the get-go". It is a somewhat comedic reference to the continual state of war that the USA has been in for as long as anyone has been alive.

Sam: Fred, how long have you had all these strange food allergies?
Fred: Since the war. I don't ever recall being able to eat peanuts.
