"This is a friendly reminder to submit a copy of your time card at your earliest convenience..." (read: 'If you don't send us your hours for last week asap, you're a$$ is not going to get paid on Friday!!')

remainders of fun

A game used to determine who gets to sit shotgun in a car. Basically you pick a number between zero and the number one less than the number of people who are playing. Then everyone throws out a number in that range, and whoever's original number matches the remainder when the sum of the thrown numbers is divided by the number of people playing, wins. It's a really dumb game, and that tool bag Nicholas D claims to have invented it.

Nick D: "Shotty!"
Nicholas D: "No, let's play remainders of fun for it."
Nick D: "I already called shotty."
Nicholas D: "So what? Let's play."
Nick D: "Shotty is french for 'let me sit fucking shotgun before I shoot you with a fucking shotgun'."
Nicholas D: "OK, I'll just sit bitch."
Nick D: "You would."

The act of telling somebody to remind you to do something to either make you look like a good person because it is a good deed. Or to pass on responsibility so that you can blame them when you forget.

"Steve, remind me to visit the old people's home on Christmas"
"Ted, you don't care about old folks, thats such an empty reminder to make Janice like you"

Doctor: "Nurse, remind me to avoid that blood vessel"
*blood spraying and alarm bells*
Doctor: "Why didnt you remind me, this all your fault."

Friday Reminder

On Fridays, when you observe a significant population of your Facebook friends (usually girls) make their status about being happy or excited that it is Friday, most often waiting since Monday. This may seem redundant or reassuring, depending on the person observing.

(John looks at Ashley's Facebook status)

Ashley: guess what?!?!?! It's FRIDAY!

(John looks at Britney's status right below Ashley's)

Britney: can't wait to get off work since it's FRIDAY!

John thinks to himself: Thanks for the Friday Reminder, girls.

2. When a character mentions the title during the movie.

When watching Dude, Where's my Car, Ashton Kutcher askes Seann William Scott, "Dude, Where's My Car?" It's a totally obvious No Rewind Remind.
