Adjective

A slang term used in Lachen SZ 8853 and the surrounding areas in Switzerland. It is a synonym for "nice" or "cool."

Examples:

"Ey, nigger, de iistee ish voll priv."
Translation: "Hey dude, the iced tea is really nice."

"Kuu man, die futz het ja voll de prive göt."
Translation: "Look man, that chick is really hot."

Priv

A slang term that stands for privy, private, and privileged. It’s the modern, rebranded version of “saditty.” Where saditty used to be thrown around as an insult (especially toward Black women, calling them bougie or “white-washed”), priv is an aspirational compliment.

Someone who is priv isn’t fake or doing too much…she moves differently (than most.) She knows things you don’t (privy), keeps her circle and life selective (private), and carries herself with ease and refinement (privileged).

A black woman who is priv:
chooses to wear her personal style rather than what’s trendy, keep her social media selective or minimal, values morning rituals, chooses experiences over things, read or listens to content that improves her life, keeps a clean living space, speaks deliberately, takes care of her body, and practices financial discretion.

“You should date a girl who’s priv, she will upgrade your life without trying.

“I don’t think she’s white-washed, maybe she’s just priv.”
“Brunch was hella priv.”

Priv (adj.) – Short for privy, private, and privileged. A Black woman who is priv moves differently…she knows things you don’t, keeps her circle selective, lives intentionally, and radiates effortless confidence.

Stands for "Private quote-retweet." On twitter, you get notified when people quote retweet you regardless of if the account doing it is public or private.

Sometimes people purposely qrt on private to say anything extremely offensive or inappropriate towards the creator without them knowing.

short for private message. Often used in online forums or chat networks. It takes a dicussion away from the public room which may be cluttered by intervening messages.
