To refer to someone as an npc, is a way of calling them predictable and act and repeat words said.

1. Used to denote a video-game character that is not controlled by a player.

2. Someone, regardless of their views, who doesn't think for themselves. Contrary to what most conservatives tell you, all NPCs aren't liberal, and all liberals aren't NPCs. If you blindly agree with whatever a person says, you're an NPC.

1. Really means non-playable characters that are programmed to act a certain way in games. Usually games under the rpg category have npcs

2. Overused term just to mean someone who doesn’t think for themselves. Conservatives think that all liberals are npcs, which is not true btw.

3. Term used by random people who think they know better than everyone to be obnoxious

1. “Look, that NPC just entered their house. I better get to bed.”

NPC 

Any of a wide variety of unthinking, robot-like employees who provide the terrible customer service that defines many venues of one's commercial pursuits. NPC activity is varied, but includes:

-Responding to all questions with rote, scripted dialogue, whether it applies to the current situation or not.
-Attempting to continue with a procedure, even though it has become quite clear that a required piece of equipment is obviously not functioning, or absent.
-Generally refusing to recognize that the stimulus of their NPC behavior is a human being, and not another NPC.

Alternatively, an NPC is any automated phone answering system that attempts to do anything but connect you with the party to whom you most need to speak.

1. I've been on hold with customer support for over half an hour because the NPCs can't stop using the pre-scripted questionnaire long enough to know that my problem is not on their list!

2. Customer: Hi, can I get a diet coke and 6 orders of french fries?

Besides the video game definition and the political definition, there's the most retarded definition:

Someone who's just minding their business and not interacting with everyone in a 500 km radius. Apparently.

It's usually used in this context by teens and pre-teens who think the world revolves around them, and it's usually a symptom of narcissism.

Normal person: walking down the street, minding their own business
Retarded person: NPC! *autistic giggling*
Normal person: *ignores the retard*
Retarded person: *retard sounds or something idk*

NPC 

1. Traditional: stands for "Non Playable Character" commonly encountered in RPG style games where you can interact with them for limited conversation or information, or who may be able to carry out simple tasks, within the bounds of their programming.

2. Modern (2018): A term now used to describe a 'Social Justice Warrior' or SJW, as their behavior mirrors that of traditional in game NPCs, in that their thoughts and actions are limited to their programming (programming being mainstream media in this case) and lacking any critical and independent thought process.

1. I had to visit 5 NPCs in town to finish my quests
2. The NPC retreated to a safe space after it's programming was challenged.
