When a person is playing a childish card game having the perfect hand to kill his opponent, instead uses a different card to not kill the opponent and thus missing lethal.

I had the perfect cards to beat my opponent from winning this Blizzard Tournament, I mistakenly used Coldlight Oracle instead of using Pyroblast and Frostbolt the affect of using Coldlight Oracle caused me from winning the match and in turn missing lethal.
