MCPHS

n; short-hand way to say "Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences" that is still extremely inconvenient and usually has to be repeated two to three times before anyone can actually understand what the actual name is. Even if correctly understood the assumption that the school is only for pharmacy students is prompted, to many of the students frustration..

Adult: So where do you go to school?
Student: MCPHS
Adult: MHPCSU? What is that?
Student: MCPHS *sigh* It stands for Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences..
Adult: Oh so you want to be a Pharmacist, that's so great for you!
Student: I don't want to be a pharmacist.. *grumble*grumble*grumble*
