Masking

Masking is a complex and costly survival strategy for autistic people. It generally involves intentionally learning neurotypical behaviors and mimicking them in social situations. Sometimes masking focuses on hiding behaviors that people feel won't be accepted.
In that way its like putting on your "social mask" so you can interact with people efficiently even though that's now how you normally act or would want to act if you weren't afraid of being seen as strange.

Autistic person: yeah I learned early in school that I should just chuckle whenever someone says something weird to me because they're probably making a joke or smiling whenever someone else is smiling so I don't look out of place

Non-autistic friend: ohh so you mean like masking right?

Autistic person: yeah exactly!

Masked-Out

When you've been wearing your mask for too many hours, and are sweaty, light headed, ready to risk fines or even COVID-19....well, ready to risk anything other that someone else's well being.

After being in meetings all day I am masked-out and just want to rip this off my face! I would rather stay socially distanced at home alone than have to wear this one more minute.

ultra masker

This person wears Covid-19 mask while driving alone in their car. An ultra masker will also wear a mask while walking alone on the sidewalk, riding a bicycle, jogging or going on long nature hikes. An ultra masker will do all these things either before or after they have been fully vaccinated.

I was stuck in traffic on 285 yesterday and saw an ultra masker alone in her car jamming to Snoop Dogg.

Muck Masking

While defecating and being overwhelmed by you're own vile ass gas you grab a can of air freshener (preferably an areosol can) and blast the toilet water between you're legs. Thus relieving you slightly and allowing you to breathe.
