MPA is the acronym for Maritime Patrol Aircraft. In naval combat, they hunt down submarines using various sensors, such as sonar buoys, Magnetic Anomaly Detectors and other other ships' reports. They destroy submarines with torpedoes or depth charges.

An MPA is the biggest threat to an attack submarine, but they can be hid from with depth.
