A ridiculous mis-spelling of "lol", which has caught on in both the virtual and real world.
There is great speculation as to what the "P" stands for, but nobody actually knows, and they never will.

The lopl dictionary is the dictionary which entails all common mistyping's made while drunk on myspace, aim, msn messenger, etc., spawned from the utmost common mistyping, lopl, a common mistyping for lol made while intoxicated.
