Social Katamari

A gathering that attracts more and more people as time goes on. A reference to a Katamari, which similarly picks up things to become bigger.

At first it was just Sabrina and me walking, but by the time we got downtown we proved to be a Social Katamari that had picked up scores of our friends!

katakana

It is a Japanese syllabary alphabet used to spell out foreign, now mostly English words. Consists of approx. 45 syllables, which can be further modified with accents "=b and °=p, prolongations (nigori) and smaller versions of vowels, ya-yu-yo and tsu. It doesn't allow for an exact transliteration, thus introducing a thick Japanese accent.

Giant rolling ever-expanding ball of crap that nobody ever notices, until it rolls them up. Has caused downfall of entire civilizations.

Comes from game Katamari Damacy, conceived by someone who was obviously taking many hallucinogenic substances. See also acid.
