When I was growing up this was a popular phrase in my neighborhood which actually had dual meanings. The first was to annoy or bother someone deliberately, for example, sibling interactions. The second definition was to be physically shaken up. It can also be modified in various ways to suit the situation including jar, jarring, or jarred.

Child: Johnny took my action figure!
Mother: John! Stop jarring his liver!

Friend 1: Do you want to go on the roller coaster?

Friend 2: No thanks, that ride really jars my liver.

A glass jar that may contain many sorts of alcoholic beverages (mainly Ryan Cokes) and may or may not have a handle. True Jam Jars should be able to hold a full mickey. After indulging in a series of Jam Jars, comical events tend to happen.

Jar to preserve weed. Some, like those sold by Herb Preserve, keep weed fresh over 6 months. Clear glass jars dry that shit up quick.

I only buy my weed jars from Herb Preserve so I have the dankest nugs forever.
