Benn around since the early 1990s evolving from rave music. Toke on after 93/94 when split off from Jungle and uses speed up vocals, breakbeats, 4/4 kickdrum and bouncy techno. Went out after 1999 when people lost intrest and now littles is made as club music has taken over. The best Hardcore now is freeform.
Now considered chav music, they say they like Happy Hardcore but really only like the stuff off Raver Baby and by DJ Rankin and have never heard any real Happy Hardcore or Freeform.

Happy Hardcore was at it's peak in 1996.
Chavs toke over in 2000.
Now Hardcore is being mistaken for being pop music on fast forwards.

Get the happy hardcoremug. Happy Hardcore stemed from the likes of Carl Cox back in the late 80's. It was about, as many have already said, the faster beats, the highhats, snares and 4x4 kick's. Not forgetting, ofc, the pitched up vocals. Truelly a defining moment for me, and many many others in the UK when it truelly took off. Orange/Rocket in London, Helter Skelter, the raves in fields in various Rural places after meeting up in a convoy on the m25. It was a time when people where truelly there to express themselves without the anger and agression, without the "bad Boy" image (that Jungle started and D&B continued!). If you remember ZeroB Locakup, Trip to Trumpton (Steve Jackson...blast from the past!) and Xenephobia (go with the flow with an E and rush me, xstacy, it really gets me going....).

Get the Happy Hardcoremug. a awesome sub-genre of techno that has a heavy bassline and an up-beat tune. It is very common at raves because it makes people feel happy (hence the name). some good happy hardcore albums that are recommended are the Bonkers and Clubland series and some main DJs include DJ hixxy, Scott Brown, MC sharkey, Darren Styles and DJ breeze.
$: have you heard the new bonkers album, its god some awesome happy hardcore.

Get the happy hardcoremug. Electronic music that sounds like Smurfs on speed combined with sped up Ice Cream van music. Good stuff when you need a quick pick-me-up.

Get the Happy Hardcoremug. happy hardcore is all about shoddy/shit techno beats with some whinney fuckin voice in the background. the only people that like it are queer chavs (not all chavs suck) and people that cant handle proper music like drum and bass, or hard house
all Happy hardcore dj's need to see the light and mix properly and turn thier whinry shit off (cammy, tiesto, fritzy etc listen)
