An area that's prefix 'Great' refers to it being the whole of Britain, a larger area than the archaic meaning of Britain. For that reason, lots of towns and counties have this prefix, for example Farnley in Great Farnley.
Home of Royal Family, London, and very resillient people, once controlling 1/4 of the world, today this nation of 60,000,000 is a textbook example of the inherent flaws of a socialist governing system including corrupt MPs, crumbling healthcare, and BBC. Good soccer.
So, that MP bought a newVauxhall with my tax money...shit...
Great Britain is a land mass that forms part of the British Isles along with Ireland and lots of little islands. Great Britain consists of Scotland England and Wales. The Great refers to larger rather than powerful. The UK is Great Britain and Northern Ireland plus a lot of other smaller islands like Anglesey.
I am going to visit Great Britain, I may also go over to Ireland or even Northern Ireland.
