Endless Freefall

The evolved form of the Downward Spiral. Typically happens when you hit the floor of the D.S and instead of bouncing up to the top you smash through rock bottom and enter the void. This is usually when the soul starts to actually die as opposed to the intense pains it was feeling before, leading people who reach this stage to look dead inside, or in extreme cases, happy before they embrace the abyss.
